Real Madrid’s new coach has fallen for a coveted nugget from Castilla.
In today’s edition, Marca discusses the situation of Diego Aguado, Real Madrid’s young defender. The player is playing in the reserve team and is highly sought after this summer, but Xabi Alonso is reportedly blocking his departure.
Dortmund and Parma wanted Aguado
The Basque side appreciates the player’s qualities and is reportedly opposed to his departure, while Borussia Dortmund and Parma are trying to sign him. The German club is even said to have made a €3 million offer. The offer was rejected by the Real Madrid club, on the recommendation of Xabi Alonso. At 18, Aguado was named captain by Alvaro Arbeloa, the Castilla coach. « He’s an example for everyone. He’s talented, hardworking, and has character, » says the former Real Madrid defender. Clearly, he’s a youngster to watch.
